Bachman's 2011 Summer Ideas House: Pt I

This came quick as it seems we were just at their Spring House.
Pay no mind to time flying by. We were happy to go!
Decorating co-captain Linda and I set off for Minneapolis in the convertible bug.
Perfect weather, camera in hand.

We started on the outside and worked our way in.
What caught our eye first?
The shed, of course.
(Since Linda has a darling one too!)

Inside is absolutely fantastic.
We seriously stood there staring at it,
taking in every fabulous cranny.

Notice, the plates. Each plate is a word of the entire quote.
The walls are lined with vintage book pages.
Rusty wire shelf. Ball jars. Candles in the birdcage.
Love. It. All.

Then, super fabulous - is the shelf made out of 1/2 of an old wooden ladder.
Then, lit with industrial lights.
Next time you see an old wood ladder, grab it!

Reluctantly, we pulled ourselves away.
Hanging on the outside of the shed is this flower design art thingie - made out of colored hoses.
The middles are bundt pants.  Hello. Fun.
This house was all about the succulents. They are everywhere, starting with these little pot wreaths.
(that doesn't sound right, hahahaha!)

** Update July 2012**
My own version of the pot wreath.

** Update May 2012**
An update about the Pot Wreath can be found here.

Summer Party Anyone?
Loved the old bed frame imagined into the table. Morning glories growing at it's posts.

All set under a shady tree, candle holders hanging from it's branches.
The flatware cozied into a seed packet.
A vintage watering can with Kalanchoe as the centerpiece.

The garage turned birthday party.
It has a fantastic wall lined with colored paper plates as decor.
People remember this for a dull area - instant pop, super cheap.
 And SO easy!!!

And... the equally cheap and easy hanging banner/streamers
.... simply cut up colored paper bags.

Stroll on over to the wall planter, adorned with 1/2 an old windmill.
The pillar gazebo w/ a 'chandelier' made out of
a hanging basket,  wrapped with wire fencing (upside down),
& old light pole glass as votives.

Last but not least, here is the one tiny little thing that inspired my
This one little birdie wire thingie. It doesn't take much.

The inside is really fab.
I thought it had more junk flair then the Spring House.
I'll show you that next post!

Stay cool!

xo Jeanne

*Please note*
I had no participation in the designs/decor of this house.
I am merely a spectator.
